Although it took a few mistakes along the way and eventually learning I was using much more complicated templates than I needed to, the DID lesson plan was thorough and extremely useful. It was time consuming, but I could definitely visualize it helping in the long run. I would rather prepare myself before the lesson, rather than during it any day! I look forward to introducing a few new things that I am not familiar with myself and have never heard of in a lesson. I recently graduated from high school (2009), but the use of technology seems to have already grown so so much. Being completely honest, it is a little confusing in the fact that it seemed like a lot of the foundations of learning was done by the student at home. I love this idea because it allows more time in the classroom for discussing issues and give more time for the creative process and projects, but I feel like it may be allowing to much of the responsibility of a child's education to fall on their shoulders.
