Reflection
With great tools comes great responsibility. Standard IV states that a teacher must model and teach safe, legal and ethical use of digital information. Everything should be respectfully used and credit should never be taken for someone else's work. Sources should always be documented when working with technology and the information it provides, whether for teacher or student. Teachers constantly use the internet for information they provide to students and the sources should respectfully be given credit. Scoop.it is a great source because when the article is shared it takes the reader to their site, showing that the document does not belong to the educator. When creating a website, a teacher can either purchase the domain name or leave the website creators tag along side their domain such as Weebly.com. Students can post their own personal words and thoughts virtually anywhere, but creating a forum is a great place for everyone to do it. Student blogs can be created with different online resources, Weebly.com for example, but they must give credit for thoughts and products that are not their own when necessary.

Future Learning Goals: I want to make sure in future classes I always site my sources, whether it be for the tools I use or the information I gather because that is the fair and respectful way. I honestly do not know if I have followed standard IV for everything I have ever utilized, but I do plan to make sure I ALWAYS do from here on. With the creation of my website and the other tools provided, I will have no choice but to follow standard IV and I will make sure that my students are always giving credit to their resources as well.
