Good evening reader, I am David Galvin and I was born in Charleston, SC on September 23, 1991. I am the son of Sherry and Clyde Galvin and the brother of Jordan and Tyler Galvin. At this time, I reside in Long Beach, MS with my family with the plans of moving to Massachusetts next month, where I will be teaching Art and my girlfriend will be attending Assumption College for her Master's in Clinical Psychology.
I am currently a graduate student at The University of Southern Mississippi working on my Master's in Art's of Teaching with the intentions of graduating with honors at the end of this summer. Well, I finish this summer and walk in December. I have three courses remaining this summer and will finish with a 3.964 grade point average if I finish with all A's.
I have experience in many mediums of art such as photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, figure drawing, graphic design, and three dimensional design. Throughout my undergraduate career and my teaching career I have used a fair amount of technology, including:
I am an Art teacher and believe that technology has a place within all classrooms, regardless of the subject matter. I plan to use technology for my student's final presentations one day, having them create an online portfolio on a website such as Weebly. The situation I just left was stuck in the stone ages. The most high-tech object I had in my classroom (other than cellphone) was a VCR and a small DVD player.
Below, I have included a small gallery of my more recent drawings to show off a little and if you want to visit davidgalvinphotography.weebly.com or hellodavidgalvin.weebly.com to view photography and past art works you may!
Enjoy :P
